Not many people would agree that Joey Badass is a probably among one of the best that did everything independently. Coming off the back of projects such as 1999, it's no surprise that when he drops something, it makes an impact, underground or otherwise. Lyrically he is supreme with the wordplay compared to many 'pop' artists and being firm in his aim to remain independent he seems to have achieved everything he came for.

Here we find a more heartfelt version of Joey, with his second offering from his upcoming album 'ABBA' which was set to be released on his birthday which coincided with Donald Trumps inauguration (20 January). He speaks from the heart about the state that the United States is in, the production by fellow Pro-Era member Kirk Knight, is the perfect crutch to this 'Gun to the face' feeling of how a black American feels right now.
