[SONG REVIEW] TIME - King Los
At a time when my favorite songs were Krump Kings' Momma Smoove, Chris Brown's Forever and and Kanye's Love Lockdown, my aunt (whom has loved Hip Hop since it became a thing), had me stumped while I tried to convince her to listen to the 'New School' rappers. She simply asked me to find her a song that is anything close to most recent song that lyrically could even be put in the same classroom as Nas's One mic.
I found it!! Okay, maybe this might not be the first time because it would be hard to not fill up that class without Chance's Israel (Sparring), but if One Mic had an academic challenger then I believe Time would be sitting right next to it. King Los came out with War and almost disappeared from fans (outside of a few moments from a few features) but now the 35-year old Puff Daddy protégé really does nothing but bring lyrical content and thought processing to a rapid halt here...line after after line too. It's apparently a prelude to his album yet most of his work has been given this subtitle. If his flow, beat choice and content is anything to go by...we don't mind whatever you call it mate, just keep it coming.
